Swiss chard is a popular Mediterranean ingredient similar to spinach. It’s packed with beta-carotene, fiber, and vitamins A and C. It also contains Betalain (the pigment) which is being studied for its anticancer properties. In animal studies, Betalain exhibited significant tumor inhibitory effects.
